GRAND RAPIDS, MI--(Marketwired - December 01, 2016) - The Bengtson Center for Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery team takes pride in maintaining a team of professionals committed to patients' health and beauty, so any additions to the tight-knit and hard-working group are well-vetted and found to be equally committed to high standards in patient care. Dr. Brad Bengtson recently found that level of experience, drive, and talent in Meredith Kent, PA-C, who joined the center as a physician assistant in September 2016.

As a physician assistant, Meredith has a variety of responsibilities, including handling several innovative treatments designed to give patients healthy, beautiful skin:

• ThermiSmooth^®: Radiofrequency energy from this device triggers new collagen production that can correct facial laxity. As collagen returns to the skin, patients will enjoy a reduction in lines and sagging.

• ThermiTight^®: Similar to ThermiSmooth^®, this treatment addresses laxity on the neck, breasts, arms, and abdomen by kickstarting collagen production there.

• Cellfina^®: This device removes the tension caused by connective bands known as septae, which can be pulled tight as fat cells around them expand. As the tension grows, dimples appear, forming cellulite. Severing that tension releases the skin and creates a smoother surface.

Meredith joins Roxanne Cornelius, PA-C, and Kortne Custer, PA-C, who are physician assistants and aesthetic experts at the Bengtson Center. The team also includes two registered nurses -- Amanda Gorter, RN-BSN, and Lisa Postlewaite, RN-BSN -- and CoolScultping^® and Ultherapy^® specialist Medical Assistant Alicia Loucks.

Meredith studied biology at Wheaton College in Illinois before obtaining her master of science degree in physician assistant studies from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago.

Since 2006, Meredith has worked as a physician assistant, gaining experience in an emergency department, urgent care center, and orthopedic clinic before joining the Bengtson Center. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, American Society of Surgery for the Hand, and American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

In addition to her formidable medical and patient skills, Meredith is a volunteer Spanish translator and enjoys running and scuba diving when she's not working. You may have seen her enjoying the summer sun (with proper skin protection, of course!) with her family at Lake Michigan.
