World Antibiotic Awareness Week 2016
This week is World Antibiotic Awareness Week, which aims to increase awareness of antibiotic resistance and to encourage best practice among the general public, health workers and policy makers to prevent the spread of antibiotic resistance.
On 18 November –European Antibiotic Awareness Day – EFSA will attend the conference “The future is now” coordinated by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). It will be streamed live here from 9:30 to 13:00.
Speakers will include Vytenis Andriukaitis (EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety), and representatives from the European Commission, WHO Regional Office for Europe, the European Medicines Agency, ECDC and EFSA.
