Harboring Hearts 4th Annual Fall Benefit
/EINPresswire.com/ -- NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - October 18, 2016) - Harboring Hearts, a nonprofit organization that provides funding, affordable housing and community programs to patients and families affected by cardiac disease, will hold its 4th Annual Fall Benefit on Thursday, October 27th, at the Bryant Park Grill. The annual benefit is held to honor individuals who have made great contributions to the field of heart health and to raise funds to continue vital programming. Harboring Hearts welcomes guests to a cocktail reception filled with live music, food, cocktails, and a silent auction.
The evening honors Dr. Evelyn Horn, Director of Advanced Heart Failure at Weill Cornell Medicine/New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and Jonathan Peacock, Chairman of Bellerophon Therapeutics, with the Helpful Heart Award in recognition of their dedication to excellent cardiac care.
"Advances in cardiac care would not be possible without visionaries such as Dr. Horn and Mr. Peacock, who have made substantial contributions to the research and support of cardiopulmonary diseases," said Missy Rahman, Executive Director of Harboring Hearts. "This unwavering commitment to helping those with life-threatening cardiac conditions is the reason we've chosen to honor these outstanding individuals."
Nutrition and health expert for NBC's TODAY show and New York Times best-selling author, Joy Bauer, will serve as the emcee for the evening. The event will also feature live entertainment, performed by Broadway star, Miles Jacoby.
