FEMA LOOKING FOR CONTRACTORS AS HURRICANE MATTHEW APPROACHES

USFCR REGISTERS CONTRACTORS WITH THE FEMA CONTRACTOR REGISTRY

/EINPresswire.com/ -- WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - October 05, 2016) - With Hurricane Matthew currently projected to make landfall in Florida on Thursday, and then continue up the eastern part of the United States, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has began putting together a list of products and services it needs registered contractors to provide.

These products and services include potable water, construction services, telecommunications services, and even conference or ballroom space to support groups of between 300 and 500 people -- and that's just a few of the opportunities currently available to registered contractors.

But having a complete and accurate System for Award Management (SAM) Registration isn't enough. Contractors interested in working on FEMA contracts also must be registered with the agency. This registration is SEPARATE from a SAM Registration. Florida-based US Federal Contractor Registration, the world's largest third-party government registration firm, is committed to doing its part to help residents in states most likely to be affected by the Category 3 Hurricane, and is available to help businesses register with FEMA and also find information about currently available opportunities.

FEMA, unlike other federal agencies, isn't obligated to post all solicitations and award contracts only after competitive bidding takes place. FEMA -- before, during, and after an emergency -- is allowed to issue contracts to contractors in its registry, without the contractor bidding on the opportunity. US Federal Contractor Registration gives its clients contact information for contracting officers, including FEMA contracting officers, many of whom are authorized to make contract awards right now.

To become eligible to work on FEMA contracts, call US Federal Contractor Registration at 877-252-2700, ext. 1.
