Player Pass allows teams to streamline ticketing for guests of players and staff

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 12, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The GameChanger division of Unity FI Solutions, a leading provider of payment and processing solutions, has launched Player Pass, a new online ticketing platform that allows teams to better manage complimentary tickets that players and staff provide to their family and friends.

Using Player Pass, athletes and staff can electronically request game tickets through an online portal and send a confirmation email to their guest notifying them that their tickets are available. The platform allows the team to keep an accurate record of how many tickets are distributed and how many are used, providing an easy-to-use system that can be integrated into any sports organization’s game-day operations.

The platform is currently being updated to add enhancements such as allowing tickets to be instantly sent to the intended recipient via email, who then has the option to print the ticket or present it on their mobile device on game day.

“Player Pass is a cost-effective remedy to an antiquated process many teams still use today to distribute complimentary tickets to loved ones,” said Matt Millward, director of ticket sales & operation for the Charlotte Knights, a Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. The Knights utilized Player Pass this past season.

Earlier this year, Unity FI expanded its suite of services by creating GameChanger, a division targeted at meeting the payment processing, ticketing, concessions and other needs for a wide range of athletic organizations, including professional teams, schools and sports leagues. Player Pass is a product from this division.
