Evans Brewing Company Announces New Pilot Brewing System

System Will Be Used to Experiment With New Ingredients/Processes and Expand the Company's Small Batch Offerings

/EINPresswire.com/ -- IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/30/16 -- Evans Brewing Company (OTCQB: ALES), a producer of award-winning premium craft beers, today announced the purchase and delivery of equipment for its new pilot brewing system, which will be used to develop small batch offerings, including variations of currently produced beers and entirely new products that may ultimately be produced on a larger scale in the company's Orange County, California brewery.

The pilot system will brew a 15-barrel batch, which will be split into three 5-barrel tanks to allow for up to three variations of the same base liquid. Brewers can experiment with different yeasts, flavor additions, dry hopping and/or other ingredient or process variations in each of the three 5-barrel tanks.

The small batches produced by the pilot system are expected to be offered to customers in the company's first restaurant and taproom, The Public House, located in downtown Fullerton, California. Small batch variations are also expected to be introduced in additional future tasting room locations the company plans to establish. Some of the beers developed with the pilot system may ultimately be chosen for full production, including year-round, seasonal and/or special releases.

The company currently produces 4 core year-round packaged products, Pollen Nation Honey Blonde Ale, The KrHOPen India Pale Ale, Oaklore Brown Ale, and ChocōLatté Chocolate Porter. These and other styles are available in kegs at retail locations within the company's distribution footprint. Other styles -- some seasonal beers, special releases and potentially other year-round offerings -- are expected to be released in the coming months. "This small batch pilot system will improve our ability to make subtle changes and experiment with different techniques and processes in the production of our beers," said Evan Rapport, Director, Vice President and head of brewery operations for Evans Brewing Company. "We expect the result to be both improved flavors for our current products and the development of new beers that could ultimately be produced on a larger scale."

"With the opening of The Public House, we look forward to having almost immediate customer feedback on our small batch offerings and the flavor variations they are expected to provide," Mr. Rapport added.
