SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, USA, August 18, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A special movie screening and panel discussion will be held on Thursday night to bring attention to the growing addiction and mental health issues in the community, as well as available resources.


"The Road Back" is a new movie that gives an enlightening look at addiction through the relationship between a wealthy executive who’s an alcoholic living in sobriety, and his friend, a barber hooked on heroin who’s trying to hide his relapse. It’s a story of healing, love, friendship, and triumph. The movie is an 88-minute documentary featuring the story of local Utah business executive, Tom Olson.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and Q & A featuring: Tom McCullom, MSW, LCSW, ASUDC, owner of McCullom Counseling and Intervention; Dr. Michael E. Duso, Ph.D., LCSW, Founder/Owner Operator, A/D Psychotherapy and Clinical Consulting, Inc.; Tom Olson, Executive Producer; Adam Hornung, Intermountain Healthcare Central Region Psychology Program Director; Moderator: Jim Sheets, LDS Hospital Administrator.
