Four Honorees, Paula Francis, Chet Buchanan, Bart Patterson & Jeff Kutash - 29 Award Recipients

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, US, August 17, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Las Vegas (NV) – Awards Honorees & Recipients for the highly anticipated 14th Edition of the Silver State Awards - XIV were Honored and Recognized on Saturday, July 23rd at South Point Casino as part of the 7th, “Silver State Awards” presentation for 2016, produced by TMG Entertainment Network. Hosted by Emmy award winning journalists, Kirsten Joyce, Stephanie Jay, Kendall Tenney and Casey Smith, with special performances by Joe Spinella and Nieve Malandra.

Over 29,000 votes were casted for 29 categories and the winners were revealed during the awards ceremonies, in addition to five honorary award recipients. For the past three years, over 270,000 votes have been cast and certified.

In addition to voting categories, Five (5) Honorary Awards including, “Excellence in Journalism” was presented to Paula Francis, The “William Andrews Clark - Lifetime Achievement Award” presented to Gov. Robert list, THE “Jim Rogers - Spirit of Education Award” presented to Bart Patterson, The “Humanitarian Award” was presented to Chet Buchanan and The “Entertainment Pioneer Award” presented to Jeff Kutash. The honorary awards are presented to individuals for their outstanding contribution to Nevada. Previous Honorary Recipients included, Governor Bob Miller, Senator Harry Reid, Senator Dean Heller, Senator Richard Bryan, Commissioner Susan Brager, Mayor Jan Jones and Philanthropist Jim Rogers (partial list).

Other Award Recipients (voted) included: KLAS – CBS 8, recipient of three awards, including “Best Evening/Mid-Day News Anchors (team) & The “Best Local Television Station”, which was shared with KTNV – ABC 13, The “Best Jeweler” presented to MJ Christensen, The “Best Real Estate Agent” to Mahsheed Barghisavar, The “ Best Casino” and “ Best Hotel Pool” to the Cosmopolitan Hotel.

Silver State Awards Beneficiaries - SSA donates 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales to local charities in Nevada. The beneficiary for the 14th edition of the Silver State Award was Andson Foundation.
