1 p.m. ET This Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) webinar will provide an overview of the Clean Energy Incentive Program (CEIP) Design Details Proposal for community and environmental justice groups. The CEIP, which was included in the final Clean Power Plan, was designed to help states meet their goals under the plan by encouraging early investments in zero-emitting renewable energy generation and by removing barriers to investment in energy efficiency and solar measures in low-income communities.
This proposal is an opportunity for stakeholders to provide further feedback on several key design elements, including clarifications about project eligibility, providing states with the flexibility to choose a definition of a low-income community, and how the matching pool should be made available. During the webinar, EPA staff will provide a brief overview about the proposed details of the CEIP and then will invite participants to ask questions.
Participants do not need to register in advance for the webinar, but please join the webinar 10 minutes before the start time to ensure your participation. Audio for the webinar will be delivered through the phone line.
