Statement by the Spokesperson on the terrorist attack in Somalia
Somalia has once again been hit by deadly terrorist attacks perpetrated by al-Shabaab.
An attack took place against Nasahaablood Hotel in Mogadishu yesterday, leaving many casualties including State Minister Burci M. Hamza.
At this time our thoughts and condolences go to the families of the victims.
These attacks are an attempt to disrupt the ongoing state and peace building processes aimed at supporting a democratic Somalia.
The EU will continue to support the building of legitimate institutions in Somalia and to stand by Somalia in our common fight against terrorism.
