Minister Joly launches the consultations

The Honourable Melanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, today launched the Pan-Canadian Consultations on Official Languages, which will continue until October 2016. These consultations will provide the Minister with food for thought on key issues and priority measures to adopt in developing a new multi-year official-languages action plan.
Minister Joly will be using a round-table approach, and will also make an online questionnaire available to the public.
The Minister invites all Canadians to take part in these consultations and to share their opinions or comments on the role of English and French in Canadian society.

well as in key cities where there are English- and French-speaking
minority communities.

Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage, will
support Minister Joly throughout the consultations.
