/EINPresswire.com/ -- Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 22,939 vehicles in May 2016.

John Roth, vice president, sales, service and marketing for GM Canada said, "In May we continued to focus on our strategy of growing profitable retail share while maintaining disciplined incentive spending and reducing rental deliveries. GM Canada's retail sales are up 2.4 per cent calendar year to date."

May 2016 Sales Highlights:

• Retail sales of Chevrolet's all new cars, the Spark, Malibu and Volt are up 154 per cent for the month
• Retail sales of GM's full size SUV's, the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL are up 4 per cent for the month

Overall, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 22,939 vehicles in May 2016, a decrease of 16.4 per cent versus May 2015.

Data is not adjusted for the difference in selling days; May 2016 had 24 selling days and May 2015 had 26 selling days.
