Saia Updates Second Quarter-to-Date LTL Operating Data

(NASDAQ: SAIA), a leading transportation provider offering multi-regional less-than-truckload (LTL), non-asset truckload and logistics services, is providing an update to LTL shipment and tonnage data for the second quarter to date. In April 2016, LTL shipments per day declined 2.5% and LTL tonnage per day declined 3.8% compared to April 2015. Adjusted for the impact of Good Friday, LTL shipments per day declined 4.4% and LTL tonnage per day declined 5.8% in April 2016 compared to April 2015. In May 2016, LTL shipments per day declined 3.3% and LTL tonnage per day declined 4.9% compared to May 2015.
