California author shares do-it-yourself dream home ideas
Author Andrew Chestnut shares a story of self-discovery, imagination and beyond comfort zone projects in his handbook, “Dealing with Subs.”
A story of patience and goals, “Dealing with Subs” is a creative handbook about the ins and outs of running a remodeling project, showing easy steps needed to be taken.
“I knew in 10 years, I was going to retire, and I wanted to help other homeowners, who were not one of my customers, to get all they need for their projects. Just easy and satisfied for their job went on time, with no over cost, and everything they hoped for turned out to be successful,” shares Chestnut when asked about the inspiration behind his book.
“The book gives excellent insights of ideas and techniques on how to remodel an odd house into a cozy, bright home,” states Taylor Michaud, Acquisitions Editor for Tate Publishing.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Chestnut had to face reality at an early age. He knew that he was going to be a General Contractor. He devoted his entire life to become the best contractor. He raised 6 children and has a loving, beautiful wife.
Chestnut has been in the construction trade for over 40 years. And not like most, he mastered all phases of construction, from drafting the blueprints, to building a piece of furniture and finishing a room at the end of the day. He has been recognized in several influence magazines and won the National Kitchen & Bathroom contest of 2013. He, as well, had a background as a heavy equipment operator for the union, laboring foreman for underground utilities and drill operator for deep foundation supports.
