Studies show that high-risk (cancer causing) strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV) are responsible for at least some cancers of the penis. Penile intraepithelial neoplasia (PeIN), is a cellular change in the penis that could become cancerous. Dr. Stratton and Dr. Culkin describe it like this, PeIN is “a clinical entity associated with HPV infection, with several differing classification systems. Similar to squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in situ, PeIN represents a dysplastic premalignant lesion.” (1) Studies evaluating the prevalence of HPV DNA in PeIN lesions have found that 60% to 100% of lesions test positive.

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends that men infected with HPV take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin.
