Massachusetts-Based, Women-Led Businesses to Bring Lively Letters Reading Program to Mobile

Reading with TLC has helped more than 15 million students and over 75,000 educators worldwide with reading-aid programs aimed at students in general education Pre-K through Grade 2 classrooms, as well as learners of all ages who have reading and learning challenges, including those with dyslexia or speech/language disorders and those learning English as a second language.

In 1990, along with her sister, Penny Alemian Castagnozzi, a longtime elementary educator, Telian began creating the Lively Letters arsenal of learning tools which tie in mouth cues, humorous stories, pictures, hand movements and music to help students better develop their phonemic awareness and phonics skills. In 1993, they also began offering professional development to help educators improve literacy skills.

The Lively Letters app, as developed by BBK Worldwide, will offer robust and adaptive functionality with an intuitive UI -- all based on the company's proven reading program. "Mobile learning is much more than making flash cards available on a mobile phone or tablet, and BBK understands that," said Castagnozzi.
