Renewable Northwest and the Montana Renewable Energy Association launched a new marketing campaign in Montana called "Charge!" The campaign includes billboards and media engagement to draw people to an engaging website that includes videos and information about the potential of renewable resources in the state. The theme of the campaign is the can-do spirit of Montanans that makes them leaders in innovative efforts to create the next great economic boom. It is designed to increase awareness of the nation's demand for cleaner electricity available in untapped wind and solar resources throughout the state and to build a grassroots contact list of people who are interested in supporting renewables-focused energy policies. Renewable Northwest also operates the Northwest Wind Resource and Action Center, for which the Energy Department provides funding support.
