Created by Kokenes and Caitlin Daugherty, "Across Borders" uses data from the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) to explore the statistics of people around the world who are forced to flee their homes. The interactive app visualizes their origin and asylum countries, as well as the key events that correspond with their displacement.

The Qlik Open Data Challenge invited global participants to use public data sets on issues such as health, population, education and the environment to create visualizations in Qlik Sense -- these applications aimed to reveal insights within the data that enlighten and inspire change.
