The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center recently issued an offshore wind research request for proposals (RFP). Applications are due May 5, 2016. The deadline to submit written questions regarding the RFP is April 12, 2016. According to the solicitation, grants are available for "up to $200,000 for selected research projects and up to $75,000 for selected capacity-building projects," with a 20% cost share requirement. There are four topic areas for research proposals:

• Wind Energy Area site characterization
• Wind plant technology and performance
• Infrastructure and logistics
• Socio-economic and environmental.
