Jim Wells County Justice Of The Peace Announces Switch to GOP

Judge Karin Knolle breaks with Democrats and joins the Republican Party in South Texas.

“I am proud to welcome Karin to the Republican Party and look forward to working with her in upholding the conservative principles that make Texas the best place to live, work and raise a family.”
— Governor Gregg Abbot
SANDIA, TEXAS, UNITED STATES, April 3, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Jim Wells County Justice of the Peace, Karin Knolle, announced that she has switched parties. Knolle, Justice of the Peace for Precinct 3, says “As a landowner, small business owner, and rancher, I have experienced the destructive rules and regulations of the current administration. I can no longer support the values of the Democrat Party, which stand in contrast to my own”

Knolle emphasizes her own strongly-held beliefs on life, property rights, and regulations as key motivations for her switch. “Recent revelations of this administration’s refusal to protect, in any way, the most vulnerable among us make it impossible for me to remain a Democrat. I am very proud to now stand with state leaders, such as Governor Greg Abbott and State Representative J. M. Lozano, who stand for life, private property rights, small businesses, and the inalienable rights guaranteed to us by our Constitution.”

Texas leaders, including Governor Greg Abbot applaud Judge Knolle’s decision to join the GOP. “I am proud to welcome Karin to the Republican Party and look forward to working with her in upholding the conservative principles that make Texas the best place to live, work and raise a family,” said Governor Abbot.

State Representative J. M. Lozano said, “I have worked closely with Judge Knolle for several years. She is a dedicated public servant and Texan. I am proud to have her join me in the Republican Party.”

Knolle will continue to serve in her current capacity through 2017, at which time, if she chooses to run for reelection, it will be as a Republican. In the meantime, she remains focused on serving her constituents. “I’ll continue to focus my energies to ensure our communities are safe and to promote a fair and unbiased Justice Court,” says Knolle.

Judge Karin Knolle has served on the bench in Jim Wells County since 2007 and has subsequently been reelected in 2008, 2010, and again in 2014.
