A Student Releases a New Social Networking Mobile App and Becomes One of the Most Promising Young Women Entrepreneurs
'Spontime', a new Social Networking Mobile App founded by 21-year-old Karolina Demianczuk, is already valued by Angel Investors at $3mln.
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, March 30, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Karolina Demianczuk, a 21-year-old student, is one of the most promising young women entrepreneurs. With her new Social Networking Mobile App, Spontime, valued by Angel Investors at $3 mln, she aims to move Millenials out of the digital world.Founding Spontime, Demianczuk wants to make it as easy as possible to organize spontaneous activities, such as jogging, lunch or beer, and have fun together in the real life. Users simply post what they feel like doing, and their friends can join them or not. In this way they are constantly informed about what their friends are up to, so that they 'never miss out on the fun'. There are no 'chat' or 'comment' features, however. „We want to minimize the time people spend in front of their screens. The point is to make them see people face-to-face more often, not talking through the App." - says the Founder.
The concept seems to work well. Students already look forward to the App release and massively sign up for the pre-release version of Spontime - in the first day of its announcement the company received more than 2000 download requests. Not surprisingly, Demianczuk is already in the process of negotiating seed investment deals with Angel Investors from Poland, the US, and Sweden, who value the startup at $3mln. The company plans to close the deal in early April.
"We were surprised by how many investors and VCs have approached us. We were not expecting this much interest in such an early stage, we have not even been looking for funding yet." - says Karolina.
Demianczuk is not a new person to a business world. Her interest in business and management emerged already in high school when as a Rotary Youth Ambassador, she organized numerous international events, managed two sports teams, and worked as an Assistant Manager at the local bakery. She then enrolled into Warsaw School of Economics and spent one semester on a scholarship at National University of Singapore. Attending two top business schools, as well as working with corporations and organizations, such as Rotaract Club, Goodyear Tires and Rubber Company, or Coca-Cola HBC has provided her with skills and knowledge that help her grow her own business.
What has given her true entrepreneurial spirit, however, were her broad experiences abroad. Having visited more than thirty countries and having lived in three -Poland, the U.S. and Singapore, she was able to compare lifestyle and behaviors of her peers around the world. „It does not matter if we are in America, Europe, Africa or Asia. With today's speed on life, inevitable digitalization, and globalization, it is harder to maintain real, in-person relationships.” That is what pushd her to create Spontime and bring people together in real life.
Spontime is currently having its closed beta. The company has not announced the release date yet, although the App is planned to be launched in early spring.
