Tampa Bay, Florida–While most authors produce fiction to provide readers with nothing but a quick thrill, former Peace Corps Volunteer, David C. Edmonds is quickly building a reputation for intricate adventures that, as one reader put it, shouldn’t be read if one expects a good night’s sleep. His extensive travels in, and assignments to, Nicaragua, Chile, Mexico and Peru, exposed him to cultures in which violence and danger lurked around every corner.

His most recent book, The Girl in the Glyphs, is the story of young woman's struggle to find a mysterious "glyph" cave in war-torn Nicaragua, and nothing is going to stop her—not even a murderous gang of tomb looters who are also searching for the cave. Things get messy when she falls into a spiral of romance and intrigue with a stranger at the US Embassy. And messier still when her cheating husband wants her back. Bullets fly. Hostile squatters take over the island where the cave is located. An obnoxious reporter dogs her every step. There's even an old Indian couple who may or may not be spirits. But her greatest challenge is in that cave on a remote island on Lake Nicaragua, written in hieroglyphics...

The Girl in the Glyphs was co-authored by his wife Maria and was inspired by their common experiences in Nicaragua and Peru. Glyphs is available at bookstores and at amazon.com in Kindle or print.
