Medicine Hat to Host the Alberta Winter Games
/EINPresswire.com/ -- This weekend, Medicine Hat's Hidden Valley hill will host the Alberta Winter Games. The opening ceremonies will be held at 6:30pm on Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Canalta Centre, with 6,000 people expected to attend. Fifty youth athletes from across the province will be in two snowboarding events during the games. The Slopestyle event will be help on Sunday, Feb. 14 and a SBX event on Monday, Feb. 15.
The Alberta Winter Games were held in Medicine previously in 2002. Since then, the town has has been looking forward to the opportunity to host the games again. The city has received massive support from the volunteers that showcase the town's excitement to make this Winter Games a great success.
