It’s not that you have to worry so much about being kidnapped and trafficked yourself, but more about the women, and children, who are victimized by being brought to the Super Bowl to be used by certain attendees," says Tina Yeager, Director of the Freedom Challenge*, a U.S. based global organization turning around the lives of trafficked and oppressed women and children. Freedom Challenge Clues to Identifying Victims of Human Trafficking. Your Challenge to Help their Freedom:
• Accompanied by a controlling person, boss or pimp; does not speak for self. Avoid eye contact.
• Cannot come and go as they please; Lack control of personal schedule; Do not speak for themselves.
• Work excessively long and unusual hours with little to no breaks.
• Are under 18 and provide commercial sexual acts.
• Lack of knowledge of whereabouts and/or do not know what city they are in or where staying.
• Is not in possession of own identification.
• Bruises: show signs of physical and/or sexual abuse, physical restraint or torture.
• Appears malnourished or is in poor physical health.
• Poor mental health or abnormal behavior. Often are depressed, submissive, tense, or display nervous/paranoid behavior
• Exhibit unusually fearful or anxious behavior after bringing up “law enforcement.”
