2016 Wind Energy Research Workshop

The 2016 Wind Energy Research Workshop provides an opportunity for industry, academic, and government participants to join with national and international experts to discuss current trends and help define the future directions of wind energy research. Keynotes and panel sessions will include the following topics:
Wind turbine design and manufacturing:
- Blade manufacturing, composites, materials, and modeling
- Towers and foundations
- Nacelle: gearbox, generators, rotors.
Wind farm development:
- Offshore installations and siting
- Wind resource, LIDAR/SODAR, modelling, assessment
- Characterization of loads, waves, and wind.
Wind farm operations:
- Controls, power production, wind farms
- Structural health monitoring, sensing, diagnostics, testing, reliability
- Energy storage, grid, transmission.

The workshop includes a poster session and scientific talks. Submit your abstract.
Participants can also tour the Massachusetts Wind Technology Testing Center on the morning of March 17.
