Atalaya Mining Plc (AIM:ATYM, TSX:AYM), the European mining and development company, announces that Majedie Asset Management Limited advised the Company on 25 January 2016 that it had increased its shareholding in the open market to 6,466,213 ordinary shares, beyond the 5% threshold.

Majedie Asset Management, based in London, manages equity mutual funds for individual and institutional investors with an investment approach towards growth and value. It has approximately £ 11 billion (US$17 billion) under management.
