2 Dead and 18 Injured in San Jose Bus Crash on Northbound Highway 101
A bus carrying 40 passengers crashed Tuesday morning on northbound Highway 101 after hitting the center divider and coming to rest across all traffic lanes.
SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA, USA, January 19, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- According to Hawaii News Now, a deadly collision was reported Tuesday morning on Highway 101.California Highway Patrol officials were notified of the incident at 6:38 a.m. when authorities were initially informed that a big rig had crashed but were then notified that the vehicle was confirmed to have been a Greyhound bus.
Hawaii News Now disclosed that a total of 40 passengers were on board the bus which lost control while it operated within the carpool lane and struck the center divider.
The bus came to rest on its side and laid horizontally across both northbound and southbound traffic lanes of Highway 101.
