Is Workplace Giving in Decline?

With each passing year, it appears that giving in the workplace weakens more and more as baby boomers retire and more millennials take their places. But is this true?

Based on my perspective as CEO at Community Health Charities and a closer study of nationwide research, I have to agree with Kalman Stein of Kalman Stein Associates that we're not witnessing a decline in giving, but simply changing trends in how employees are giving and to who they are giving to. We cannot judge this type of fundraising solely based on payroll deductions. There's much more to workplace giving than that.
