Accessible Media Inc. to launch first live studio show

TORONTO, Jan. 12, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Accessible Media Inc. (AMI) announced today that its AMI-audio channel will launch its first-ever live in-studio show in February.

Live from Studio 5 will feature stories surrounding current events, entertainment and health, along with other engaging topics. Broadcast live from AMI's Toronto studios, Live from Studio 5 will cater toward Canadians living with disabilities to help them start their day and feature stories from local communities across the country. With an added social media angle, listeners will be encouraged to join the conversation by following AMI on Twitter @a11ymedia or liking the AMI Facebook page.

Veteran Canadian radio personality Mike Ross will host Live from Studio 5 and share the microphone with co-hosts from the blind/low vision and disability community. Ross will also have regular check ins and feature stories with AMI hosts from across the country.

Live from Studio 5 premieres on Monday, February 1 at 9 a.m. ET, with an encore presentation at 3 p.m. The two-hour program will run daily, Monday through Friday, and listeners can tune in to AMI-audio, listen live by visiting or tune in on satellite radio, AMI audio SiriusXM channel 172.
