WASHINGTON, D.C., USA, January 6, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Wireless Innovation Forum, a non-profit international industry association dedicated to driving the future of radio communications and systems worldwide, today announced that the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has confirmed that OpenSSRF is a suitable reference implementation of the Standard Spectrum Resource Forum (SSRF) version 3.1, the DoD's standard for the exchange of spectrum management-related data.OpenSSRF, contributed by Keybridge Global with development sponsored by the WInnForum’s Open SSRF Working Group, provides a verbatim compilation of the SSRF version 3.1 into Java. The specification is defined in MCEB Pub 8 Version 3.1 as of 2014-09-16. It defines standard data elements for automated exchange of radio-frequency (RF) spectrum-related data and is managed under the authority of DOD Directive 5100.35, Military Command, Control, Communications, and Computers Executive Board (MC4EB) and published in the MC4EB Pub 8 document.
