Speech: Commissioner Malmström in Germany for open public conversation on TTIP

Today EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström is visiting Germany to participate in a citizens’ dialogue - a town-hall style debate with members of the public - entitled "TTIP, We need to talk!"
The Commissioner will be joined by Jürgen Hardt, a member of the German Bundestag and the Coordinator of Transatlantic Cooperation of the German ministry of foreign affairs since 2014. While in Berlin, the Commissioner is also meeting with the president of the Bundestag, Norbert Lammert, and a large group of SPD Bundestag members working on TTIP.
This morning she participated in a conference on the new EU trade and investment strategy, entitled "TTIP, CETA, TiSA – What does the new trade strategy bring for Europe?" organised by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation.
