HPV: How Could my Kid have Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis?; The CBCD Answers a Survey Question
“Recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, or RRP, is primarily caused by two types of HPV that also commonly cause genital warts, types 6 and 11.” (1)
The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD)’s November 2015 survey found that almost 32% of participants were concerned about their children developing a disease caused by the HPV virus. One of these diseases is Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis, which is characterized by the growth of tumors in the respiratory tract. According to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, “Most children diagnosed with RRP before 5 years of age are believed to get it from their mom while passing through an infected birth canal. Because many people are infected with HPV and never have symptoms, they do not know they had an HPV infection. Therefore, unfortunately, it is possible that you could have had an undiagnosed HPV infection during pregnancy that led to your child’s infection.” (1)
If a woman suspects an infection with the HPV virus, The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends that she set a doctor's appointment and get checked. In addition, the Center recommends taking Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin before becoming pregnant. Women should stop taking these products during pregnancy, and should resume once they have given birth. The formula of these natural antiviral products was shown to reduce symptoms associated with HPV infection in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. Moreover, it was designed to help the immune system target the latent form of the HPV virus.

The formula of these natural antiviral products was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR formula is effective against the HPV and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the HPV…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (2) The study authors also wrote that “we observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (2)

Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.
Note: Novirin has the same formula as Gene-Eden-VIR. However, it contains higher quality and more expensive ingredients.
“Most people who are infected with genital HPV never know it; their virus does not call attention to itself in any way. In most cases, a person is diagnosed with HPV only because some troubling symptom drove him or her to a health care professional, or some abnormality was revealed in the course of a routine exam.” (3) Additionally, immunize.org notes that “For people who are sexually active, a long-term, mutually monogamous relationship with an uninfected partner is the strategy most likely to prevent future genital HPV infections. However, it is difficult to determine whether a partner who has been sexually active with another partner in the past is currently infected.” (4)
It is important to note that the RRP Foundation says that recurrent respiratory papillomatosis “is almost always diagnosed by age ten and usually before the age of five, showing no sexual preference. Statistics indicate that first-born children delivered vaginally to young mothers (under the age of 20) with active condyloma during pregnancy, are at greatest risk.” (5)
What Current Treatments are Available for HPV infections?
“There are no drugs approved against the HPV. Current treatments include procedures, such as cryotherapy, conization, and the Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP). These procedures use liquid nitrogen, a surgical knife (scalpel), a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser, or electrical current to remove the abnormal growths caused by the HPV. These growths include cells that harbor the active virus. The procedures do not target cells with the latent virus. Since they do not remove the latent virus, these procedures only produce a temporary remission.” (3) In contrast, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR were designed to target the latent HPV, and were shown to reduce HPV symptoms in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines.
The CBCD therefore recommends that women infected with the latent HPV take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.
The CBCD reminds the public that Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are not a cure. However, two clinical studies, published in peer reviewed medical journals showed that their formula decreases symptoms in infected individuals. Specifically, the formula of Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin was shown to safely and effectively reduce HPV symptoms. Additionally, it was designed to help the immune system target the latent virus.
