Increased Risk of HPV Infection for Transsexuals; The CBCD Reviews a Report

“The great vulnerability of these high-risk populations … indicate the urgent need for preventive strategies.” (1)

Transsexuals also face increased risk for infection with HIV, hepatitis B (HBV), and hepatitis C (HCV).

“Infected with the herpes virus (HSV-1 or HSV-2)? The CBCD recommends taking Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin.” - Greg Bennett, CBCD

According to a study, transsexuals are a vulnerable, “at risk” population when it comes to infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV). As Dr. Ramos and colleagues wrote, transsexuals “tested positive for HPV in 111/114 cases.” (1) Dr. Ramos is from the Department of Biomedical Science and Human Oncology at the University of Bari Aldo Moro-Policlinico in Italy. The same study found that in addition to HPV, transsexuals also face increased risk for infection with HIV, hepatitis B (HBV), and hepatitis C (HCV).

Up until the last few years, there has been little research into the risks faced by transsexual individuals face when it comes to sexually transmitted diseases. However, this has begun to change as transexualism has become a visible, social issue.

In male-to-female transsexual individuals, another study found that genital warts can arise in the neourethral meatus and the transplanted skin of the neovagina. (2) Sometimes it can take years after an infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV) before an individual develops any kind of symptoms. Even if the person does develop symptoms, genital warts may develop inside the vagina, or inside the anus where a person cannot see them. If a person suspects that they have developed genital warts, they should see a doctor immediately to get an accurate diagnosis.

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends that anyone who may be concerned about an HPV infection, which can cause genital warts and other symptoms, take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin. The formula of these natural, andtiviral products was shown to reduce symptoms associated with HPV infection in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. Additionally, it was designed to help the immune system target the latent HPV.

The formula of these natural antiviral products was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR formula is effective against the HPV and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the HPV…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (3) The study authors also wrote that “we observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (3)

Both products can be ordered online on the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR websites here:

Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.

Note: Novirin has the same formula as Gene-Eden-VIR. However, it contains higher quality and more expensive ingredients.

Immunize.org notes that “For people who are sexually active, a long-term, mutually monogamous relationship with an uninfected partner is the strategy most likely to prevent future genital HPV infections. However, it is difficult to determine whether a partner who has been sexually active with another partner in the past is currently infected.” (4)

Avert.org recommends that anyone who suspects that he or she has developed genital warts should see a doctor right away. That individual should never try to diagnose his or herself. (5)

What Current Treatments are Available for HPV infections?

“There are no drugs approved against the HPV. Current treatments include procedures, such as cryotherapy, conization, and the Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP). These procedures use liquid nitrogen, a surgical knife (scalpel), a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser, or electrical current to remove the abnormal growths caused by the HPV. These growths include cells that harbor the active virus. The procedures do not target cells with the latent virus. Since they do not remove the latent virus, these procedures only produce a temporary remission.” (3) In contrast, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR were designed to target the latent HPV, and were shown to reduce HPV symptoms in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines.

The CBCD therefore recommends that individuals infected with the latent HPV virus take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.
