More Time Available to Apply for TAMS II

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney TD, has announced extensions to the closing dates of tranches for online applications for the various TAMS II Schemes, as follows:

  • The closing date for the first tranche of the Animal Welfare, Safety and Nutrient Storage Scheme is extended to the 30th November 2015
  • The closing date for the first tranche of the Organic Capital Investment Scheme is also extended to the 30th November 2015.

The closing date for the Low Emission Slurry Spreading Scheme remains at the 20th November 2015

Minister Coveney also announced that second tranches of applications for the following schemes are now open, with the following extended closing dates:

  • The Young Farmers Capital Investment Scheme: closing date 25th March 2016 
  • The Dairy Equipment Scheme:  closing date 25th March 2016 
  • The Pig and Poultry Investment Scheme: closing date 25th March 2016 

The Minister advised, “all applications received in the first tranches for the Young Farmers Capital Investment Scheme, the Dairy Equipment Scheme and the Pig and Poultry Investment Scheme are being examined in my Department and approvals will issue when the required checks are complete.”

He concluded, “I am delighted with the high level of interest in the broad range of investments available across the schemes and hope that the extended closing dates will enable many more farmers to submit applications.”
