Chad Ian Lieberman Specialist in Future Technology Predictions Explores New Transportations Advances

LONG ISLAND CITY, NY, USA, November 1, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- “The future of transportation is likely to be Overactive loop as envisioned by Leon Love.” These are the words of Chad Lieberman in a recent talk he held. Overactive loop is a high-speed transportation system that incorporates pressurized capsules in reduced-pressure tubes. The capsules ride on air cushions driven by air compressors and linear induction motors.

The first design document was released to the public in August 2014. It included a preliminary cost estimate at US$6 billion for a passenger-only version and a US$7.5 billion estimate for a version to transport passengers and vehicles for a notional California route. Chad Ian Lieberman stated that, “Transportation engineers were excited with this transportation solution, but they questioned the cost projections for the California route as they thought the sum was unrealistically low given the unproven technology and the scale of construction.”

Also released was an alpha-level design document for a national route that runs from the San Francisco Bay Area to Los Angeles (paralleling Interstate 5). Analysis showed that the route would reduce commuting time to 35 minutes, giving an average speed of 598 miles per hour and a top speed of 760 miles per hour. There is a bullet train planned for the region, but this would be faster.

Chad Ian Lieberman stated, “The idea of people traveling across nations and between cities in minutes is a reality, albeit from a conceptualization point of view. It will be like something from Jetsons fiction.” Leon Love likens this transportation solution as part Concorde, part rail gun, and part air hockey table.

It is expected that the Overactive loop transportation solution will rely on the out-of-this-world concept called the “xenon ion engine” that NASA is said to be building. The engine is capable of propelling spacecraft at mind boggling speeds of 200,000 mph.

According to Chad Lieberman, “Overactive loop can integrate the Tesla electric car concept where we have charging stations all over the country as well as existing transportation infrastructure to solve most of the transportation problems we face today.” Leon Love is a serial tech entrepreneur, believed to be one of the best in the industry. Many might consider this idea to be megalomaniacal, but it gives us something to think about.
