“Infected with the human papillomavirus (HPV)? The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD), recommends taking Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD

A study found that human papillomavirus (HPV) infections are very common among both HIV positive and negative gay men. Dr. Blas and colleagues wrote that the anatomical site with the highest HPV DNA prevalence is the anal canal, and “HPV prevention interventions are needed among MSM at high-risk for HIV infection.” (1) The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) believes it is very important for Gay men to understand that “HPV seroprevalence is approximately 2 to 6 times higher among men who have sex with men (MSM) and among men who have sex with men and women (MSMW) compared to heterosexual men.” (1) Additionally, “HPV is highly prevalent in sexually active men and has been associated with 80-85% of anal cancers and 50% of penile cancers. It has also been associated with oropharyngeal cancers and laryngeal cancers.” (1) The Center therefore recommends that individuals concerned about HPV infection take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin. The formula of these natural antiviral products was shown to reduce symptoms associated with HPV in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines.

The formula of Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR formula is effective against the HPV and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the HPV…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (2) The study authors also wrote that “we observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (2)

Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.

The CDC notes that “there is currently no approved test for HPV in men. Routine testing (also called ‘screening’) to check for HPV or HPV-related disease before there are signs or symptom, is not recommended by the CDC for anal, penile, or throat cancers in men in the United States. However, some healthcare providers do offer anal Pap tests to men who may be at increased risk for anal cancer, including men with HIV or men who receive anal sex. If you have symptoms and are concerned about cancer, please see a healthcare provider.” (3)

Are there treatments available against the HPV?

“There are no drugs approved against the HPV. Current treatments include procedures, such as cryotherapy, conization, and the Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP). These procedures use liquid nitrogen, a surgical knife (scalpel), a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser, or electrical current to remove the abnormal growths caused by the HPV. These growths include cells that harbor the active virus. The procedures do not target cells with the latent virus. Since they do not remove the latent virus, these procedures only produce a temporary remission.” (2) In contrast, Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin were designed to target the latent HPV.

“We recommend that Gay men get anal Pap tests, and in addition take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin. The formula of these natural products was designed to help the immune system target the latent HPV.” - Greg Bennett, CBCD
