HPV Can be Transmitted to Babies through Breast Milk; CBCD Reviews the Medical Evidence

“There is a concern that high-risk HPV infections might be transmitted during breast-feeding.” (1)

“We recommend that individuals concerned about infection with the latent HPV take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin.”

“Infected with the human papillomavirus (HPV)? The CBCD recommends taking Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD

Most people are exposed to the human papillomavirus (HPV) at some point early in life. Most of the time, this exposure is to low-risk HPV types that cause warts. However, individuals may also be exposed to high-risk (cancer causing) types of HPV. One of the ways this may occur is through breastfeeding. Dr. Vedham and colleagues wrote in a study that “several studies have … reported oncogenic (cancer causing) strains of HPV in breast milk in … lactating mothers.” (1) Although this is one way that the virus can be transmitted to an individual, it is much more common for cancer causing HPV types to be transmitted during first sexual encounters. “During the adolescent and young adult years, the virus can be acquired from sexual contact and give rise to cervical cancer years later in life after a long latency period. This early life period is very critical in the life course because sexual activity is the primary mode of transmission of high-risk HPV infection.” (1) Dr. Vedham is from the National Cancer Institute in Maryland.

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends helping the immune system to target the latent HPV before a woman becomes pregnant, or after she delivers the baby, by taking Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin. Additionally, the Center recommends that individuals who may already be infected with HPV take these natural antiviral products since their formula was found to reduce symptoms associated with HPV infection in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines.

The formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin formula is effective against the human papillomavirus (HPV), and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with HPV … reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (2) The study authors also wrote that “we observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (2)

Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.

Note: Novirin has the same formula as Gene-Eden-VIR. However, it contains higher quality and more expensive ingredients.

In the study mentioned above, Dr. Vedham additionally wrote that “HPV infections cause almost all of the cervical cancer cases worldwide. HPV is a heterogeneous family of DNA viruses making up more than 100 types of which about 13 are cancer-causing viruses. HPV infections can also cause skin and genital warts, and respiratory papillomatosis. HPV infections account for about 5% of the global cancer cases, including cervical, other genital tract, anus, and oropharyngeal (mouth and throat cancers).” (1)

Are there antiviral treatments against HPV?

“Two types of antiviral treatments against HSV are available: topical and oral. The treatments include penciclovir, acyclovir, famciclovir, and valaciclovir. However, their effectiveness is limited. For instance, a meta-analysis of five placebo-controlled and two dose comparison studies evaluated the effect of aciclovir, famciclovir or valaciclovir on symptoms. The meta-analysis showed that oral antiviral therapy decreases the duration and the associated pain of an outbreak by merely one day.” (2).

There are also the natural supplements Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin, which have a formula that was designed to help the immune system target the herpes virus when it is in a latent form.
