Energy Department Distributed Wind Discussion: Non-Hardware Cost Reduction

Date: 9/30/2015

Location: Sacramento, CA

The Energy Department (DOE) has identified high non-hardware balance-of-system ("soft") costs as a barrier to distributed wind system deployment. To better understand the soft cost reduction potential for distributed wind systems, DOE's national labs, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, will work with industry to categorize soft costs and create a soft costs data set. Please join DOE, NREL, and PNNL for an interactive session with industry and stakeholder feedback on specific categories for the soft costs as well as opportunities for reducing these costs.
