FEMP Launches New Training Certificate Series

The U.S. Department of Energy's Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) recently launched nine new FEMP certificate training series.

Developed in association with FEMP's technical leads, each training certificate series provides a pathway for energy management professionals to enhance their careers through relevant, skills-based online training. Each certificate series provides a set of related accredited courses that, when completed together, offer comprehensive instruction on timely topics.

FEMP's certificate series are designed to supplement learners' on-site experience with the convenience and flexibility of online learning. Each training series supports and enhances critical workforce competencies by providing:

  • Foundational knowledge
  • Updates about advanced technologies and tools
  • Job-related best practices.

Interactive diagrams, exercises, and knowledge checks reinforce understanding of critical topics.

Like all FEMP courses, the FEMP certificate series provide International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and can be used to satisfy the requirements of professional credentialing associations, job promotions, and Federal Buildings Personnel Training Act.

The certificate series are free, self-paced, and accessible 24/7. FEMP's certificate series are designed for federal energy and facility managers, but enrollment is open to everyone through the Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG). Learners may complete courses in any order, and download and print earned certificates by logging into their WBDG accounts.

Register for the certificate series and receive IACET CEUs.
