EFSA welcomes decision on permanent location
"This is very good news. We have been waiting for a decision for some time, so now we can make real progress on setting up the Authority in its permanent location," said EFSA Management Board chairman, Stuart Slorach. "Since the Management Board was set up in September 2002, the Authority has built up to a staff of over 70 in its temporary location in Brussels, and it has been operational in its core task of scientific risk assessment since June of this year. So, we have a substantial task in maintaining the present momentum, while also transferring everything to Parma."
