HP Will Power Texas Data Centers with Wind Energy
August 2015 - Hewlett-Packard (HP) has signed a 12-year power purchase agreement for 112 megawatts of wind power from a SunEdison wind farm in Texas. The generated wind power will provide 100 percent renewable energy to five of HP's Texas data centers, with two in Austin and the remaining three located in Hockley, Houston, and Plano. The agreement will help HP reach its 2020 operational greenhouse gas emissions reduction goal five years ahead of schedule.
