Team Toyo’s Kyle LeDuc Scores Eighth Consecutive Pro 4 Class Win

SAN BERNARDINO, CA – Kyle LeDuc and Toyo Tires captured their eighth consecutive Pro 4 class win on Sunday morning during the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series race at Glen Helen Raceway Park in San Bernardino, CA.  LeDuc’s Toyo Open Country M/T-R equipped #99 Monster Energy / Toyo Tires Ford F-150 truck once again proved flawless, this time on a muddy track surface.

Weather was fickle all weekend, impacting the track as well as the race schedule.  Heavy rain from tropical storm Dolores caused Round 9 to be postponed on Saturday. Officials managed to get the race in on Sunday morning before even more rains moved in, turning the track into a mud pit and forcing a postponement of Round 10.

“The rains tried to stop us from winning and so did the competition, but we won’t be stopped,” said LeDuc.  “We have matched the ‘eight wins in a row’ record and were set to break that, but rain stopped that from being a reality.  Muddy dirt, or perfect dirt, our Toyo tires are the tire of choice… there is no comparison!”

Pro Lite class driver, Brandon Arthur, captured another second place finish with his #6 Competitive Metals / Pro Traffic Services / Toyo Tires Ford truck.  Running on off-the-shelf Toyo Open Country® A/T II tires, this is Arthur’s third consecutive second place finish in the series.

“What a great weekend we had, continuing our podium streak… making it three races in a row with a second place finish,” said Brandon Arthur.  “We definitely couldn’t have done it without Toyo tires.  They gave us a great tire for this Glen Helen track.”

“We congratulate Kyle LeDuc for winning his eighth consecutive race this season in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series,” said Stan Chen, senior manager of events and sponsorships, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.  “We also congratulate Brandon Arthur for capturing second place for his third time in a row.  Once again they showed our Open Country products can dominate the podium in any track conditions.”

The next races will take place August 1 – 2 at the Estero Beach Resort in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.  This will be the first time the series travels outside the U.S. for a race weekend.
