Security National Bank Makes Two Key Internal Promotions

SNB promotes Mandi Sievers to Retail Services and Bank Security Officer, Matthew Stachowitz to Bank Secrecy Act Officer.

SIOUX CITY, IA, USA, July 15, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- D. Douglas Rice, President of Security National Bank, announced the following Officer promotions and title changes.

Mandi Sievers was named Retail Services and Bank Security Officer for Security National Bank. Sievers joined the Bank in April of 2012 as a Retail Service Manager. Prior to that, Sievers worked nine years with another financial institution. She graduated from Huron University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.

As Retail Services Officer, Sievers manages the Downtown Personal Banking Center, Main Bank CSR’s, Safe Deposit Vault, Motor Bank and Marketplace Branch. Her Bank Security duties include oversight of all Security Training, Safety and Fraud issues as well as developing and administering Security Policies.

Matthew Stachowitz, Retail Credit and Compliance Officer for the Bank, was named BSA Officer. In addition to his current duties, he will now be responsible for staying current with all compliance, regulatory trends, and employee and Board training on the topic of the Bank Secrecy Act.

The Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requires all financial institutions in the United States to assist U.S. government agencies to detect and prevent money laundering and fraud. Additionally, banks are required to report suspicious activity that might signify money laundering, tax evasion, or other criminal activities. The purpose of the BSA is to prevent banks from becoming unknowing intermediaries in illicit activity.

Stachowitz joined SNB in May of 2007 as a Personal Banker. In 2014 he was elected Retail Credit and Compliance Officer. He is a 2007 graduate of Morningside College where he received his BS Degree in Business Administration. Additionally, he has attended the Iowa Bankers Association’s (IBA) Compliance School in 2012 and the IBA’s Bank Secrecy Act Compliance School in 2013.
