The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) released a special notice for the upcoming Distributed Wind - Competitiveness Improvement Project Solicitation. NREL intends to release requests for proposals (RFPs) by September 30, 2015, for the following topics: Component Improvements and System Optimization, Manufacturing Process Improvements, Certification Testing, and Type Certification. The proposed RFPs will include cost share requirements, and offerors must demonstrate active engagement in the U.S. market and have links to the U.S. supply chain.
