The firm said that its primary focus will remain on reinsurance and fronting solutions during the remainder of 2015 but that it will expand incrementally into other lines of business and other jurisdictions when compelling opportunities arise.

Additionally, St Bernard confirmed that it has been receiving an increased number of reinsurance inquiries as insurers have begun to assess their capital requirements under Solvency II. Fawcett further commented that “our reinsurance portfolio has performed very well and we continue to have an appetite for additional Gibraltar business”.
