Herpes Zoster: Israeli Scientists Gain Breakthrough Understanding of VZV; CBCD Reviews a Report

Herpes zoster is a condition caused by a herpes virus. The varicella zoster virus causes chickenpox, and later in life the virus can cause herpes zoster (shingles). Scientists have been trying to understand the underlying biological mechanism that causes the virus to “wake up.” This is important, because it is only when the VZV reactivates from a latent state that it goes on the attack and causes shingles. If scientists were able to keep the virus in a latent state forever, shingles could become a disease of the past. Until this happens, and newer, more effective treatments are developed, the Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends that anyone who has ever had chickenpox take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin. The formula of these natural antiviral products was shown to reduce symptoms associated with herpes viruses in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines.

The formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR formula is effective against viruses in the herpes family, including HSV-1, HSV-2, the Epstein Barr Virus (EBV), the human cytomegalovirus (CMV), and others.
