1 p.m. ET This 90-minute SMART Wind Consortium virtual meeting is intended to foster dialogue on actions to improve safety and efficiency and to reduce installation costs for distributed wind turbines. Gary Harcourt of Great Rock Windpower will discuss the electrician's work and ways to handle the high electrical costs on various types of towers, and Roger Dixon of Skylands Renewable Energy will provide an overview of different types of commonly used foundations and share his ideas on how to reduce costs. A short introduction to the SMART Wind Consortium and the subgroups will also be provided. The meeting is free for DWEA members and government and non-profit employees and $25 for others.
