Arms Control and International Security: State Department Officials Travel to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty Review Conference at the United Nations in New York City

Secretary of State John Kerry will lead the U.S. delegation to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) Review Conference, taking place from April 27-May 22, and will provide opening remarks on behalf of the United States on April 27.

Other delegation members include Ambassador Samantha Power, U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations; Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller; Assistant Secretary for Arms Control, Verification and Compliance Frank Rose; Assistant Secretary for International Security Tom Countryman; U.S. Ambassador to the Conference on Disarmament Robert Wood, and Ambassador Laura Kennedy, U.S. Charge d'Affaires at the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Vienna.

Ambassador Adam Scheinman, Special Representative to the President on Nonproliferation, will lead the negotiations.
