Ventura, CA – March 1, 2015, 805 Funk Fest presents “A Night of Pure Funk” at the Oxnard Performing Arts & Convention Center, April 11, 2015 Doors open at 6PM, Show starts at 7PM.
805 Funk Fest is bringing Funk to Oxnard with the SOS Band “Take Your Time”, “The Finest”, and “Weekend Girl”. Do you remember what you were doing when you heard the Zapp Band on the radio with “More Bounce”, “Computer Love” and “I Wanna Be Your Man”? Didn’t you love the songs that made you get up and dance like Klymaxx “Meeting in the Ladies Room”, “Men All Pause”, and I Miss You”. We are having “A Night of Pure Funk” at the Oxnard PACC with all of these artists and their full bands performing.
The concert will be hosted by Funny Lady Denise Carter. Added to our lineup are Oxnard’s Own Road Brothers and J. Lynn. We have something for everyone!
The night will start with vendors in the lobby selling items from T-Shirts to jewelry. We want to make sure you have the opportunity to pick out some memorabilia. There will be photographers on hand taking pictures of you on the Red Carpet to having a poised picture of you framed. The Q-Club is providing a Full Bar and food will be available.
