During the American Pulic Power Association webinar, the speakers will describe the implications of distributed generation uptake for utilities in five major areas: financial, resource planning, rate design, technical, and customer relations. As these impacts are presented, the speakers will also address actions that utilities can take (at various levels of penetration) to mitigate adverse impacts and take advantage of opportunities. The webinar will conclude with a discussion on potential customer engagement strategies and present a framework for how utilities can gauge the appropriate level of engagement in distributed generation.
